Accelerated Skill Acquisition Using Artificial Intelligence
There’s a lot of advice on how to use AI to be lazy and get it to do all your work for you.
And while yes, this is possible, with all that free time you should be using it to accelerate your own intelligence and learn new skills quicker than ever.
It’s pretty easy to do as well.
As an example, let’s say you wanted to learn how to trade stock options.
Here’s one way you might use AI to get up to speed.
Accelerated Skill Acquisition Using AI
1. Initial Research with AI
Start by asking AI for a foundational overview of stock option trading.
Example: “Provide a beginner’s guide to stock option trading.”
2. AI Summarization for Efficiency
Dive into lengthy videos, articles or courses and ask AI to extract and summarize key points.
Example: “Summarize the principles of call and put options.”
3. Deep Dive with Guided Questions
Delve into specific areas like the Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega) using AI.
Example: “Explain the significance of Delta in option trading.”
4. Practical Application & Feedback
Simulate trades and ask AI for feedback or potential pitfalls.
Example: “I’m considering buying a call option on AAPL with a strike price of $150. What should I consider?”
5. Custom Learning Guides
Request AI to generate tailored guides on strategies like iron condors, straddles, or butterfly spreads.
Example: “Provide a step-by-step guide on setting up an iron condor strategy.”
6. Stay Updated
The stock market is dynamic. Regularly ask AI for updates on market conditions, news, or developments that might affect option prices.
Example: “What recent news might impact tech stock options?”
7. Test Your Knowledge
Reinforce your learning by asking AI to quiz you on option trading strategies, terminologies, or calculations.
Example: “Quiz me on the different option trading strategies.”
8. AI-Assisted Practice
Use AI tools to simulate option trading scenarios, backtest strategies, or predict market movements based on historical data.
Example: “Simulate the outcome of a bull spread strategy on TSLA over the past three months.”
9. Connect with Experts
Engage with real traders or communities. Ask AI to recommend top experts, forums, or webinars.
Example: “Who are the leading experts in stock option trading?”
10. Continuous Feedback Loop
Share your trading strategies or decisions with AI, seeking feedback or alternative approaches.
Example: “I’m planning to sell a put option on AMZN due to its recent bullish trend. What are the potential risks?”
11. Create Summarized Notes
After each learning session, generate summarized notes for quick revision.
Example: “Summarize today’s learning on implied volatility.”
12. Leverage AI for Real-time Data Analysis
Use AI tools to analyze real-time stock data, predict market movements, or get alerts on potential trading opportunities.
Example: “Alert me when the implied volatility of NFLX exceeds 50%.”
13. Reflect and Refine
Periodically, evaluate your trading performance. Ask AI for areas of improvement or new strategies to explore.
Example: “Based on my last month’s trades, what strategies should I consider for a bearish market?”
Anyway, this is something I don’t see a lot of people talking about. Most, including me, are just using it to get work done faster, cheaper and better… but they risk becoming ignorant if they rely on AI to do all the thinking.
After all, artificial intelligence is just a tool, but Accelerated Intelligence we’re really after.
